Low doc equipment finance
Vehicles, machinery and equipment without tax returns or financial statements: who qualifies, what lenders ask for and the limits.
- No tax returns needed
- Bank and non-bank lenders
- No obligation
In a nutshell
Low doc equipment finance lets established businesses buy vehicles, machinery and equipment without providing tax returns or financial statements. Because the asset is the security, many lenders accept a simple application, ID and the asset details, sometimes with bank statements or connected accounting data. It usually suits businesses with a few years of ABN and GST history and a clean credit record, and limits are often higher for borrowers who own property.

What lenders usually look for
ABN and GST history
Lenders usually want a business that's been registered for a while; requirements range from 6 months to 2 years or more.
Clean credit
A clear credit file for the business and directors, with no recent defaults.
Property ownership
Owning property, even with a mortgage, often means a higher low doc limit, even if the property isn't used as security.
Standard assets
Vehicles, trucks, yellow goods and common equipment are easiest; specialised assets may need more documents.

It's equipment or vehicle finance assessed without tax returns or financial statements. The asset is the security, so lenders rely on your business history, credit and the asset itself rather than full financials.
