In a nutshell
Asset Based Lending (ABL) is an Australian short-term commercial lender offering loans of $20,000 to $1 million secured against business or personal assets such as vehicles, machinery and equipment, at up to 70% of the asset's value. It says it gives an answer in 2 hours, with no company financials or credit checks, and funds 24 to 48 hours after the asset is secured.
Asset Based Lending (ABL) offers short-term secured commercial loans of $20,000 to $1 million, at up to 70% of the asset's value. Loans are secured against the asset itself, whether it's owned by the business or personally, and ABL says its security stops at the asset rather than your home.
There are three ways to use the asset: Park It (the asset is stored with ABL), Track It (you keep using it and it's GPS-tagged) or Sell It (it goes to auction and the proceeds repay the loan). Terms are typically 1 to 3 months, up to a maximum of 9, and you can exit after the first month. Businesses use it for tax debt, Director Penalty Notices, emergency or bridge funding, equipment purchases and new contracts. ABL has its head office in Melbourne and 11 locations across Australia.
