Australian Business Loan Finder · Documentation

MCP server documentation

The Australian Business Loan Finder is a public, read-only MCP server. AI assistants use it to help Australian business owners work out which type of business finance fits their need, and which lenders publish criteria that could suit them. It searches a directory of 150+ Australian non-bank, private and bank lenders, product by product, using each lender's published criteria.

search_lenders

Search Australian business lenders

Finds Australian business lenders whose published criteria could fit a business's finance need. It only checks each lender's products of the requested finance type, and rules a product out only when a published figure (loan amount, time trading, monthly revenue or security) doesn't fit. Criteria a lender doesn't publish are listed, not assumed.

get_lender

Get lender details

Returns one lender's published details: finance types, products and their criteria, eligibility, documents usually requested and the profile link. Input: lender (string, required), a lender name or slug, e.g. Prospa or prospa.

list_finance_types

List business finance types

Lists the finance types the search covers, each with a plain-English summary and a Learn more link, plus the documents lenders usually ask for. No inputs.

Usage rules for assistants

The server sends these rules to the assistant in its instructions and tool descriptions:

  • Only state lenders and figures the tools return. Never invent criteria.
  • Never quote interest rates, fees or repayments, and never promise approval or timeframes.
  • Results are indicative, based on published criteria: not a ranking, a full list or a credit assessment. Don't call any lender "best" or "cheapest".
  • Never tell the user they "qualify" or are "eligible". Say they appear to meet a lender's published minimums.
  • Describe each lender's security exactly as its result says, and say when a lender doesn't publish its security requirements.
  • Business-purpose finance in Australia only. Don't ask for names, contact details, Tax File Numbers, bank details or other identifying information.
  • End every shortlist with the nextSteps text, and show the aboutAndCompliance text once, under the first shortlist.

Data and privacy

Results come from the lender profiles in Splendid's public business lender directory, using each lender's published criteria. Profiles are updated as lenders change their criteria, and each result shows when its profile was last checked. Results aren't influenced by payment or commercial relationships.

The server doesn't ask for or store personal information, and Splendid doesn't collect or store conversations through it. See privacy when using the Finder.
